Snabbit Raises $5.5M to Transform the On-Demand Home Services Industry
Snabbit, an innovative quick-service app that connects households with skilled home service professionals, has raised $5.5 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Elevation Capital, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and angel investors, including Vidit Aatrey, Sanjeev Barnwal, Gaurav Munjal, and Niraj Singh. This follows the $1 million seed funding Snabbit secured from Nexus Venture Partners in early 2024.
What is Snabbit?
Founded in 2024 by Aayush Agarwal, a former chief of staff at Zepto, Snabbit focuses on delivering fast, efficient home services for everyday tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry. With a promise of a 15-minute arrival time, the app enables users to book trained professionals by the hour.
Snabbit stands out for its full-stack approach, which includes sourcing, training, and managing its workforce. This ensures consistent quality and provides service professionals with steady income and benefits like health and accident insurance. Agarwal emphasized that this model addresses the long-standing challenges faced by a fragmented workforce in this sector.
Plans for Expansion
Currently operational in select neighborhoods of Mumbai, Snabbit aims to use the newly raised capital to expand its operations to more locations and enhance its team. Agarwal revealed that the startup has already acquired thousands of customers within a limited serviceable area, primarily through word-of-mouth.
“The Indian market holds immense potential for high-frequency home services,” Agarwal stated. “We’re building a new category that combines innovation with a hyperlocal focus, setting the stage for significant growth.”
Investor Perspectives
Manish Advani, Vice President at Elevation Capital, hailed Snabbit as a game-changer in the home services industry. “Snabbit’s platform delivers quick, on-demand, and affordable home services through a hyperlocal network of trained professionals. We’re excited to partner with them as they expand from Mumbai to a pan-India presence, redefining everyday convenience.”
Suvir Sujan, Managing Director at Nexus Venture Partners, commended Snabbit’s strategy of operating in densely populated residential clusters. He noted that the startup’s approach benefits both consumers seeking reliable services and service providers gaining better opportunities.
Snabbit’s Vision
With a strong start and investor confidence, Snabbit is poised to disrupt the home services industry in India. By focusing on high-quality service delivery and workforce empowerment, the startup is set to scale new heights and redefine convenience for households nationwide.
