Eminent lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud, son of former Chief Justice of India (CJI) D.Y. A Supreme Court bench, comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar, has acknowledged the request and assured a listing of the plea within the next two to three days. The urgency stems from an immediate summons issued to Allahbadia by the Assam Police.
The YouTuber has been booked under various provisions, including Section 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, which pertains to insulting a woman’s modesty through words, gestures, sounds, or objects. Additional charges related to privacy intrusion have also been leveled against him.
