Battery Recycling Startup BatX Energies Secures ₹105 Crore in Series A Round Led by IvyCap Ventures

New Delhi: Battery recycling startup BatX Energies has raised ₹105 crore in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, marking a major step forward for the company in India’s clean energy and circular economy space.

The newly raised capital will be used to scale the company’s battery recycling operations, improve its proprietary metal recovery technology, and expand its supply chain network across the country.

Founded in 2020, BatX Energies focuses on recycling lithium-ion batteries and recovering critical minerals including lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese. These materials are essential for electric vehicle (EV) batteries and energy storage systems, helping reduce reliance on imported raw materials while promoting more sustainable manufacturing practices.

With India’s electric mobility market continuing to grow, the need for efficient battery recycling solutions is expected to increase sharply. Startups such as BatX Energies are playing an important role in building a circular economy by recovering and reusing valuable battery materials while lowering environmental impact.

The latest funding is expected to support BatX Energies’ commercial expansion and strengthen its position in India’s battery recycling and critical minerals ecosystem, aligning with the country’s broader clean energy and EV goals.
