In a major step toward strengthening technology education in North India, Shri Khushal Das University (SKD University), Hanumangarh, has signed a five-year MoU with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), New Delhi.
This strategic partnership aims to make high-demand courses like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber Security, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), and Semiconductor Technologies accessible to students in Rajasthan without requiring relocation to metro cities.
Signed on March 20, 2026, the agreement brings NIELIT’s government-backed curriculum directly to the SKD University campus. Students will now benefit from industry-aligned certification programmes, hands-on training, and exposure to real-world applications.
One of the key highlights of the collaboration is the planned establishment of a Centre of Excellence, equipped with modern laboratories to deliver practical learning experiences. Additionally, specialised programmes in Cyber Forensics and Cyber Crime will be introduced.
The MoU also covers:
Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs)
Workshops and seminars
Student internships and industry exposure
Joint research and innovation initiatives
According to Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramawatar Meena, the partnership represents a transformative opportunity for students, bringing nationally recognised programmes directly to campus.
Chairperson Varun Yadav emphasized the university’s vision of achieving national relevance and global readiness, while Managing Director Dinesh Juneja highlighted the regional impact, stating that students will now have access to quality tech education closer to home.
With its strategic location connecting Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, SKD University is positioning itself as a growing hub for future-ready education.
